Home Heritage Concerts
Home Savings Bank Plaza Concerts are held on select Thursday evenings at the corner of Main and Water Streets. All concerts 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Rain date for most of the concerts will be the following Thursday. For more information call Home Savings Bank at (330) 673-9827. All concerts are FREE.

Masterpieces on Main Art & Wine Festival in downtown historic Kent, Ohio -- home of Kent State University

Masterpieces on Main Art & Wine Festival
The festival mood will be set by local musicians on Home Savings Bank Plaza. Festival goers will enjoy the upbeat souds of The Seedbumps, Brad & Peggy, Mike Lentz and Rio Neon. Also located on the plaza will be food ventors and a Children’s Creation Station. An adjoining section of North Water Street will be the arts and wine area. Artists booths and a arts showcase space will encompase the local winery and tasting tents.

Heritage Festival
This annual, all day celebration features the Jeff Graham Memorial Fireworks, Kent Historic Train Rides (sponsored by the Kent Chamber), Ducks over the Falls, Live music and entertainment all day on three stages, 5K & 10 Race & one mile fun run, Children’s Play area, well over 100 food and craft booths, and many more local displays.

The Black Squirrel Adventure Triathlon
3 stage race: canoeing/kayaking, running and biking. Participants may enter under 2 categories: flat water or white water. Can either enter Individually, team or relay. Individuals can use a kayak or share in the time with someone in a canoe. A team consists of 2 participants and has one combined total time. Relay consist of 3-4 participants and has one overall time.

Kent's 2009 CiderFest featured Hot Cider and Carmel Apples from Beckwith’s Orchards, Dance Performance by The Portage Arts Academy, Old Fashioned Cider Press Demonstration with the Mark and Barb Strickler, Baked Goods by Stahl’s Bakery, Children's Art Table with Nonnie Swann, Pumpkin Coloring.

44th Annual Kent State Folk Festival
The Kent State Folk Festival is the second oldest continuously produced folk festival on a college campus. Started in the 1960s by a group of Kent State students catching hold of the folk revival, the festival continues to preserve folk and heritage music through concerts, workshops and educational programs.

Festival of Lights
This new family event will get you in the Christmas spirit and will introduce you to the many unique Christmas Shopping options in downtown Kent. Begins at 5:30 p.m. with musical entertainment. Santa arrives at 6:00 p.m. We encourage families to bring cameras for a photo with Santa. Free hot chocolate and doughnuts. Many merchants — extended business hours.
